Whyte & Mackay will focus on its new Jura Travel Retail Collection of single-malt whiskies at this month’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference in Singapore.
The new range comprises four expressions matured in American white oak barrels and ex-Pedro Ximénez casks that previously aged sherries for up to 40 years. The four whiskies – named The Sound (one-litre), The Road (one-litre), The Loch (70cl) and The Paps (70cl) – come at recommended retail prices ranging from approximately $60 to $110.
Another key introduction for Whyte & Mackay at the show will be the new The Dalmore 45-year-old, which was first unveiled at DFS Group’s Masters of Wines and Spirits event in Singapore in March. Matured in a mix of ex-bourbon and vintage 1960s Graham port colheita pipes, this new whisky is presented in a hand-blown Baccarat crystal decanter and priced at $12,500 a bottle.
In March, the company unveiled a new visual merchandising look for The Dalmore in travel retail to reaffirm its aspirational brand positioning. Housing core expressions and special additions, the merchandising concept is rolling out to key airports globally this year.
Another focus for the company in Singapore will be the Fundador Supremo Sherry Cask Collection, which was launched last year, but is now being rolled out to Asian duty free. Fundador is the market-leading Spanish grape brandy, and the new range comprises three expressions: a 12-year-old, a 15-year-old and an 18-year-old. Prices range from $68 to $168.
