Pinellas County, the regional authority responsible for operating St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport in the Tampa Bay area of Florida, is proposing to issue a Request for Proposal (FRP) for a new concession opportunity covering retail, duty free and food and beverage at the airport.
Travel retailers and restaurant operators interested in this potential concession are invited to contact the airport to find out more information. A meeting with some interested parties has already taken place, where the potential opportunities were discussed with airport staff and consultants.
Interest in St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport will be piqued by the news that it recently broke its all-time single month passenger number record by 15%, with 237,021 travellers passing through the airport in March this year.
At the end of the first quarter of 2018, year-to-date passengers were up 13% against the equivalent period in 2017.
St. Pete–Clearwater International Airport is a public/military airport in Pinellas County, Florida, situated nine miles north of downtown St. Petersburg, seven miles southeast of Clearwater, and 17 miles southwest of Tampa.
