The King Power Group (HK)’s subsidiary, CNPay Global, has launched the first global coverage, SIM card-free mobile Wi-Fi device at the recent TFWA Exhibition & Conference in Singapore.
Named GT1, the mobile Wi-Fi device is a product specifically designed to meet the communication and internet demand of international travellers, CNPay Global said.
The device differs from existing products because there is no SIM card required to be inserted when you land in another country, and you are connected to the local network automatically.
As a portable smart device for cross-border internet usage, GT1 is based on a revolutionary high technology, Cloud SIM, which has been patented in China and completed the PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) for multiple countries registrations.
GT1 can automatically select and seamlessly access more than 80 well-known telecommunications carriers around the world in 120 countries and regions.
In addition, when making phone calls via GT1 app, users can save on international roaming call charges, CNPay Global claims.
Sunil Tuli, Managing Director (Duty Free and Travel Retail) at King Power Group (Hong Kong), also Director of CNPay, subsidiary of King Power, said: “GT1 is an exquisite and portable device based on ergonomic design. It has three main features: seamless global data access, no SIM, no network picking; data-sharing, one purchase serves five users; long lasting battery, 35 hours standby and 12 hours usage.”
