Photo of beechamTravel retailer Dubai Duty Free (DDF) has announced changes to its purchasing department following the recent expansion of its operations at Dubai International airport. The company is now responsible for 15,000sq m (161,400sq ft) of retail space at the location.

Acting purchasing and research manager Saba Tahir heads the new team, which now includes purchasing managers Fiona Nagi and Sharon Beecham (pictured), each responsible for specific categories. Beecham has returned to the company after six months as Nuance-Watson North Asia director of purchasing and merchandising. She had previously worked at DDF for 10 years.

DDF managing director Colm McLoughlin said: “With the growth of the operation over the past year and the subsequent increase in the responsibilities of our purchasing team, we felt the need to strengthen the team and restructure the categories in order to streamline the department. We welcome Sharon back and I am looking forward to a productive year ahead in all departments.”
