The Baltic and East European Travel Retail Conference is to be held in the historic Russian city in November

DFNI publisher Raven Fox is to host the Baltic and East European Travel Retail Conference in St Petersburg, Russia on November 23-25 this year.

This is a timely opportunity for airport authorities, retailers and suppliers to discuss the key issues affecting the trade in this emerging travel-retail region. The major international travel retailers with operations in the region, including Gebr Heinemann, Aer Rianta International and Dufry Group, have expressed strong interest in the event, while many leading suppliers are also expected to lend their support.

Among the issues the conference will cover are: strategies for post-abolition retailing in the new EU member states; privatisation and new commercial strategies among the region's airports; insights into key consumer groups; and the future of aviation and tourism in the region. There will also be a special session focusing on Russia, the region's largest market.
