Zürich sales rise by 11.5% in February

Zürich International airport has announced a commercial sales increase of 11.5% in February

Commercial sales at Zürich International airport in February were 11.5% higher than the same month last year. Passenger numbers were up by 11.1% in the same period.

Airside duty-free sales rose by 8% compared with the previous corresponding period while accumulated airside sales were up by 13.4%. Food and beverage sales also increased sharply, by 28% on the previous year, owing to comprehensive improvements to the center bar and La Corbeille restaurant.

Landside accumulated sales grew by 7% although food and beverages were down by about 1% on the previous February following the introduction in 2007 of a smoking ban.
