Zürich airport enjoys strong start to 2008

Net sales rose by 8.9% in January compared with the same period last year
Zürich airport has revealed a positive start to the year with net sales increasing by 8.9% year on year in January.
Total turnover was SFr34.9m ($31.6m), with turnover per departing passenger reaching SFr45.21m ($40.94), an increase of 0.4% compared with the same period last year. Net sales per departing passenger (airside) rose by 4.3% year on year, with landside sales falling by 4.7%. Passenger growth increased by 8.4% compared with January 2007. Airside revenue rose by 13.1% year on year, with landside sales increasing by 3.3%.
