Your invitation to the Raven Fox Charity Ball

TRW publisher Raven Fox is once again hosting its annual charity dinner, which has become one of the highlights of the global duty-free calendar. For the past five years over 300 industry executives have gathered on each occasion for an evening of informal networking and fundraising.

The Black Velvet Ball held this March at Grosvenor House in London was the most successful ever. Funds are raised for a different worthy cause every year, including previously the Focus 1999 duty-free campaign and the victims of the Turkish earthquake appeal. This year over $100,000 was raised for the Chernobyl Children's Project. Additionally, an appeal on behalf of the victims of the Indian Earthquake raised over $16,000. We hope to do even better in 2002.

This year's event on International Women's Day, Friday 8 March, is in aid of the Cosmetic Executive Women France. The CEW France, part of the Cosmetic Executive Women USA, was founded in 1986. Its main activity is financing beauty centres in hospitals, where specialists provide free beauty treatments to men and women, thus supporting their morale and recovery from illness. To date eight beauty centres have been established in French hospitals. With greater funding, many more can be opened.
