Airport Authority Hong Kong and Nuance-Watson (HK) welcomed in the Chinese New Year with a special ceremony at the airport
Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) and Nuance-Watson (HK) held a special ceremony at Hong Kong International airport on February 20 to welcome in the Chinese Year of the Rat. The year is a special one, signifying the start of the Chinese zodiac and representing wealth, vitality and charm—it also signifies the tenth anniversary of the partnership between airport authority and retailer at HKIA.
The ceremony at Nuance-Watson’s flagship store The Plaza was attended by Nuance-Watson regional managing director Alessandra Piovesana and operations director Clarice Au; AAHK commercial director Hans Bakker and general manager Eva Tsang; and gold and silver ceremonial lions, symbolising good luck.
Piovesana said during the ceremony: “When the new HKIA was opened at Chek Lap Kok in 1998, we saw the opportunity and potential and were already among AAHK’s most enthusiastic partners…While my people and I are committed to continue doing our best to raise the bar, and as long as the rare and strong spirit of partnership we have nurtured with the authority in the last decade remains sound, I am confident that we will enjoy a good year ahead and take HKIA to new heights.”
