The Collection will feature designer watches, jewellery, sunglasses and leathergoods when it opens at London Heathrow terminal one in October

BAA retail subsidiary World Duty Free (WDF) has added a fashion accessories concept to its portfolio of stand-alone stores. The Collection's first outlet will open at London Heathrow terminal one on October 5 and will feature 124sq m (1,334sq ft) of designer watches, jewellery, sunglasses and leathergoods.

The store will offer collections from Chloe, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Richard James and Moschino Cheap & Chic, all available for the first time at the airport. Other brands will include Emporio Armani, Diesel, DKNY, Lola Rose, Orla Kiely, Furla, Gucci and Dior.

The Collection was conceived by WDF tax-free head of category James Prescott and BAA fashion head of category Hazel Curry, and complements existing standalone concepts The Beauty Studio, Sunglasses, Cigar House and World of Whiskies.

WDF managing director Mark Riches said: "We have taken the concept of stand-alone stores one step further, working with a dynamic collection of designer brands to offer our first ever accessories-focused concept store. I have every confidence that The Collection will be an outstanding success—it demonstrates the drive and energy behind the tax-free category."
