Alyson Reilly has been appointed to the new position of director of product strategy and development. She will concentrate on developing new products and will play a leading role in the tax-free product strategy, with Brian Woodhead. She will also deal with all major suppliers for WDF and BAA Retail for all categories.

As business relation directors for BAA, Sarah Branquinho will lead supplier relations to ensure consistency of strategy. Reporting to WDF managing director Mark Riches, she will work closely with the heads of category and Reilly to establish more effective partnerships with suppliers.

Riches said: "The new structure provides greater cross-functional working and clarity of roles and responsibilities. I believe it will improve relationships with our suppliers and business partners, enhancing our overall retail performance."
