Women in Travel sets Cannes meeting date

The next meeting for the networking forum for women in travel-retail and duty-free will take place on October 19

The next meeting of networking group Women in Travel (WiT), a forum for women in the duty-free and travel-retail industry to share ideas and experiences, will be during the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes. Hosted by Hugo Boss, the event will take place on October 19 at 6pm.

WiT has almost 300 members and hopes to create a global network of contacts in duty-free. An active membership drive is now under way in the Asia/Pacific region thanks to the efforts of La Prairie regional general manager Tina Tam. Membership is free and meetings are generally informal. WiT members also hold regular raffles to raise funds for The Smile Train and have raised more than €3,000 ($4,180) to date, funding 17 operations for young people with a cleft palate.
