Alpha Group CEO Peter Williams leaves the company after overseeing its reorganisation following the acquisition by Autogrill
UK retailer Alpha Group CEO Peter Williams has left the company after completing the reorganisation of the Alpha Flight and Alpha Retail divisions into the Autogrill corporate structure following Alpha’s acquisition by the Italian conglomerate. Williams left the company at the end of August to pursue a new role.
Alpha Flight was created as Autogrill’s specialist business dedicated to airline catering and will be headed by divisional CEO Lionel Wilton, who takes over the position today (September 1). Wilton will combine the new appointment with his previous responsibilities as managing director of Alpha’s Middle East activities, which he established, developed and expanded in recent years.
Autogrill said in a statement: “Autogrill thanks Peter [Williams] for the significant and positive contribution he has made to the group in this challenging transformation of its business.”
