Recognising the importance and opportunities presented by the now revitalised
EU travel-retail market, William Grant & Sons International has appointed a new team of merchandisers. Three new personnel will now work with company business development managers, Terry Clark, Peter Eves and Iain MacLeay.

Tamara Pinkney and Stephanie Plane have joined the company's Euro Travel Market team based in Richmond, UK, and will be responsible for improving further the presence of William Grant's, Glenfiddich and The Balvenie brands.  Pinkney will manage the Austrian, Dutch, Belgian-Luxembourg, German, Italian, Swiss and Greek markets.  Plane will concentrate on the UK, Portugal, Spain and France.

The Scandinavian and Baltic travel-retail market will be covered by Tea Lindblom.  Her remit will be to work closely with the ferry, airport and airline operators, and she will be working alongside Fennomarc, William Grant & Sons' longstanding travel market agent for the area. Lindblom previously worked for Allied Domecq.

Duty free director at William Grant & Sons International, Bob Downing, said:  "The additional resource and expertise that these important appointments bring will help travel retailers exploit the full potential of our brands."
