Whistlestop opens at London Luton airport

Whistlestop, the convenience store brand of Select Service Partner (SSP), has opened a new 2,200 sq ft (204sq m) shop at Luton airport this week.

The outlet is the 28th in the UK for the Whistlestop chain which operates in airports, rail stations, exhibitions centres and high street locations. The shop will offer a creative mix of promotions, including snacks and wine and beer offers, including new world wines, children's pick and mix, pastries and essential food items.

Whistlestop managing director, Upendra Trivedi commented: "The shop is ideal for people with busy and non-stop lifestyles, both travellers and those who work at the airport.

  • Select Service Partner (SSP) is the travel-retail catering arm of the giant Compass Group UK and Ireland which operates restaurants, café bars, food courts and coffee shops at airports, on board ferries, at railway stations and for High Street retailers. Compass Group is the largest food service company in the UK.
