New Zealand-based Duty Free Stores has unveiled an online ordering and collection service

Wellington International airport retailer Duty Free Stores has launched a web-based duty-free service allowing customers to order goods and collect them from other airports in New Zealand. The retailer is offering its customers savings of up to 20% if they use their frequent buyer club number to shop online or over the telephone.

To participate in the internet pre-order system customers are required to join the retailer’s frequent buyer club at no cost. This provides access to pre-ordering liquor, tobacco and fragrances at prices which Duty Free Stores claims are below those at Auckland airport stores run by Regency Duty-Free and DFS Group.

There is also a pre-order service in operation at its main terminal store at Wellington airport. Goods can be bought in advance and collected by the customer at any New Zealand airport on their return.

Duty Free Stores operates outlets at Hamilton, Dunedin and Queenstown airports, as well as on the Gold Coast and at Adelaide airport in Australia.
