Estée Lauder Travel Retailing has appointed Fabrice Weber as its new vice-president and general manager travel-retail worldwide, effective March 2001. He replaces Cedric Prouvé, who left in October to head the company's Japanese division.

Weber, who was previously with Chanel Japan as general manager of fragrances and the beauty division, will be responsible for some of the biggest brand names in travel-retail and for the fast-track roll-out of newer beauty companies such as Stila and Origins. Based in New York, he will report to Estée Lauder International president Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne.
