The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) has launched the tender for watch concessions at Singapore Changi airport terminal three. The three-year contract, which includes an option to extend for two years, is expected to start from January 1 2008.
Bidders may submit proposals for one, two or all of the following three options:
Option One
A 138sq m (1,484sq ft) shop in departure/transit lounge north, second storey T3 (premises A1)
A 174sq m (1,872sq ft) outlet in departure/transit lounge south, second storey T3 (premises A2)
Option Two
A 41 sq m (441sq ft) shop in departure/transit lounge south, second storey T3 (premises B)
Option Three
A 138sq m (1,484sq ft) store in departure/transit lounge north, second storey T3
A 174sq m (1,872sq ft) outlet in departure/transit lounge south, second storey T3
A 41 sq m (441sq ft) shop in departure/transit lounge south second storey T3 (comprising A1, A2 and B)
Bidders for options one and two must propose a single brand name watch boutique for premises B. The closing date for bids is March 1 at 4pm.
Dufry Singapore won the three-year watch concession at T1 departure/transit lounge west in September 2005 after beating competition from incumbent Richburgh Holdings and King Power Group (Hong Kong). Dufry submitted a bid of 10% of gross monthly sales or a minimum monthly guarantee of S$410,830 ($246,000), whichever is higher.
