WHSmith to open at Boston

14-Mar-2003

International news retailer WHSmith has won a five-year contract to run up to six news and gift outlets at Boston Logan International airport

The stores, which will total around 4,000sq ft (372sq m), will be located in the airport's terminal B and will occupy existing outlets currently being remodeled as part of the terminal B renovation, and new units to be built over the coming two years. Two of the stores will be open 24 hours.

The stores are owned by National Air Ventures, a partnership between WHSmith USA Travel Retail, which manages 528 stores across the US, and Concourse Ventures Inc. WHSmith USA Travel Retail president and coo Peter Roche said: "We are thrilled to be an integral part of the retail offer at terminal B, and to be of service to millions of travellers to the gateway to New England."
