WHO tobacco workshop for TFWA Asia Pacific

16-Mar-2002

?

More industry organisations are joining forces to oppose the proposed ban on duty-free tobacco sales by the World Health Organization (WHO) Framework Convention on Tobacco Control.

The International Travel Retail Confederation (ITRC), with the International Association of Airport Duty Free Stores (IAADFS), will be holding another workshop on the issue to discuss the latest lobbying efforts and opportunities for cooperation. The meeting, sponsored by Tax Free World Association, will be held at 9.00am on Thursday 23 May 2002 during the TFWA Asia Pacific show, at a venue to be announced. It follows on from last October's successful workshop held in Cannes. Coffee will be served from 8.45am.

Operators and suppliers from all sectors and countries are urged to attend, to update their efforts on this major issue facing the travel-retail industry.
