Visa launches duty-free promotion at Tokyo Haneda

Customers who spend over ¥8,000 ($74) with a Visa card will receive a ¥1,000 ($9.24) discount
Credit card company Visa has launched a new shopping promotion to give cardholders special discounts at Tokyo Haneda airport’s duty-free shops. The “Haneda Airport Japan Duty Free Campaign 2008”, which will run from August 1 to October 31, will offer overseas customers spending over ¥8,000 with a Visa card at Japan Duty Free shops located on the second floor of Haneda’s international terminal a ¥1,000 discount when using the “Visit Japan with Visa” coupon.
Haneda airport currently handles scheduled flights to Seoul Kimpo, Shanghai Hongqiao and Hong Kong International airports, as well as other charter flights. New charter services connecting the airport to
Visa has also extended its “Experience Tokyo with Visa” promotion to June 30 2009. As part of the upgraded campaign, Visa cardholders can receive gifts or discounts by showing coupons and paying with their cards at 51 merchants in the capital. The programme flyer containing the coupons can be obtained at locations including travel counters, hotel lobbies and participating stores.
