Valiram Group appoints Levy as COO

The Malaysian retailer appoints former DFS Group executive Julian Levy as it aims to strengthen its international business. Valiram Group has announced the appointment of Julian Levy as COO, effective January 1 2007. Levy was formerly president of DFS Group’s US operation, and held several positions within the company in the UK, Oceania, Hawaii and Micronesia after joining in 1988.

Valiram director Ashvin Valiram said: “Julian brings to the company an extraordinary wealth of experience in the international branded retail field accumulated over the past 20-plus years, having worked in a multitude of worldwide markets. We believe that the addition of world-class expertise and management will add significant strength to the company as we move forward with our domestic and international expansion plans within the luxury retail sector”.
