Uruguay, long regarded as "the Switzerland of Latin America", found itself suffering alongside its neighbours during the regional economic crisis of 2002-3. Now its duty-free trade is sharing in a regional upswing. John Gallagher reports on the changing fortunes of the Uruguayan industry.
