US airport retailer appoints new president

Matt King has been named president of Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services

US retailer Delaware North Companies has appointed Matt King as president of its subsidiary Travel Hospitality Services. The company operates more than 300 shops and restaurants at over 20 airports and travel centres in the country, including Minneapolis-St Paul International, Austin-Bergstrom International, Los Angeles International and Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County airports. King joins from frozen foods manufacturer The Schwan Food Co, where he worked in corporate development and long-term strategic planning.

Delaware North Companies president and COO Chuck Moran said: “With his extensive experience in food service and finance, Matt has the talent, strategic mindset and breadth of knowledge required to foster significant growth for Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services. With Matt’s new perspective, we are focused on leveraging the resources of Delaware North towards the growth of our travel hospitality business.”
