URS appointed for Sydney master plan

Sydney Airports Corp (SACL) has appointed URS Australian Airports & Aviation Practice to prepare a master plan for the international terminal at Sydney

URS will be supported by Canadian airport architect Architectura, Asia-based simulation modelling consultancy LEAPP and BR Consulting, a Hong Kong-based baggage handling system consulting firm.

URS Airports & Infrastructure Commercialisation principal Ivo Favotto said: "This is one of the most significant and prestigious projects in the Australian airports industry at the moment and URS is delighted to be involved. The project is utilising our key skills in retail planning, gate layout planning, architecture and building design."

URS Corp is a publicly-owned company listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
