The new website provides a comprehensive summary of the issues facing the UK travel-retail trade and a password-protected members area
The UK Travel Retail Forum (UKTRF) has unveiled its new website, providing a summary of the key issues facing the UK trade and a comprehensive archive of related documents, as well as links to other relevant websites including the Duty Free World Council, the European Travel Retail Council and UK revenue and Customs authorities. The site, www.uktrf.co.uk, also offers a news section, a password-protected members area and a list of frequently asked questions including information on current travellers' allowances.
UKTRF secretary general Barry Goddard said: "Our aim was to create a site that is clear, simple to navigate and as user-friendly as possible. The site fulfils two main objectives – firstly to provide a brief but comprehensive summary of all the issues the trade is facing. The second objective is to provide a first-class facility for our members, with all relevant information on the UKTRF, industry data, and a confidential update on current issues".
Goddard added that the dynamic site would be developed over time, and invited the trade to give their views either through the site's message facility or by contacting UKTRF directly.
