Two more downtown outlets to open in China

9-Jan-2003

The long-awaited new downtown duty-free shops in China's capital Beijing and the city of Dalian are set to open in three months time

A spokesman for China Power, which will supply the stores, told TRW that March was the target date for the opening. China Duty Free Group (CDFG) will run, manage and staff the outlets.

The Beijing shop replaces the small outlet that previously occupied the same building as CDFG on the city's third ring-road. The new store is on the first floor of the as yet unoccupied CDFG premises in the diplomatic area of Beijing. Together with the existing Shanghai store, this brings the group's downtown China outlets to three.
