Trinity Forum planned for June 2003
A new travel-retail industry conference, The Trinity Forum, is to be held on June 18-20 2003 in London's Langham Hilton Hotel
Organised by Moodie International, with technical and media assistance from Marshall Lightfoot, the event takes its name from its focus on the three key links in the travel-retail chain: landlords, retailers and suppliers.
The world's top 30 international airport authorities are being invited, along with industry leaders from the worldwide trade.
The two-day event will focus on five core subjects. These include "The unholy Trinity": re-examining the industry's financial model from the perspective of airport landlord, retailer and supplier.
Other key areas to be examined include business intelligence; technology and its role in improving efficiency and growing revenues; plus brand-building and consumer behaviour.
BAA and Nestlé International Travel Retail have become founding sponsors while technology group IBM and airport operator The Nuance Group will also play a strong role in the event.
Generation founder and owner Yngve Bia will give a presentation about the "magic of transparency" in which he will unveil a major new initiative in information sharing. Abu Dhabi Airport Duty Free deputy managing director Dan Cappell will also take part.
