Travelex, the world's largest non-bank currency exchange service provider, today announced it has opened a new walk-in branch in New York John F Kennedy airport's refurbished terminal four. The branch includes the airport's first full-service business centre and will provide foreign exchange services, insurance, public phones, conference rooms with optional food service, postal services and a First Union Bank serving airport employees as well as travellers.

Chairman and ceo of Travelex Lloyd Dorfman commented: "In today's increasingly mobile and global society, it is critical for travellers to have quick and easy access to local currencies and services; and for business travellers to be able to conduct urgent matters at a full-service location. As airports evolve to make the traveller's experience as enjoyable as possible, Travelex is leading the trend."

  • The rebuilt International Air Terminal (terminal four) managed by the Schiphol USA joint venture had its official opening ceremony yesterday.
