Travel-retail sales of $50bn: impossible dream or future reality?
Next year's Global Travel Retail Summit, to be held in London on February 17-18, will examine the steps necessary if travel retailers are to achieve their ambitions
Next year's eagerly awaited Global Travel Retail Summit, organised by Raven Fox, will focus on the future of the trade and how the travel-retail industry can more than double sales to $50bn.
The conference, to be held in London's Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel on February 17-18 2005, will ask what new ideas and fresh measures are needed to drive sales growth in future. The Summit aims to provide a forum for a radical change in thinking that is essential if the travel-retail business is to drive penetration and conversion to spend among its future consumers. It will examine best practice among airport authorities and retailers today, and how this should translate into strategy tomorrow. It will also include contributions from consumer experts and big-name High Street retailers. Already interest in the event is high among the world's leading travel retailers. Details of themes and speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.
The Summit will be part of a three-in-one event in February next year. On the night of February 17, Raven Fox will host its annual Charity Ball and the inaugural Global Travel Retail Awards ceremony will take place, also at the same venue.
