Regional African airline InterAir has awarded its inflight retail concession to operator Tourvest Duty Free. InterAir serves African routes including Douala, Brazzaville, Abidjan and the Indian Ocean islands.

Passengers can now purchase duty-free for the first time onboard InterAir, which will offer over 60 products and many well-known international brands. The duty-free selection is called SuperiAir and is presented in the inflight magazine.

Tourvest Duty Free said the InterAir operation would benefit from its knowledge and experience as concessionaire for airlines including South African Airways. The operation has already commenced and the company said that demand is necessitating additional cart space for duty-free goods. Tourvest Duty Free managing director Maurice Hartshorne commented: ?We have developed a model which can be applied to any airline?s duty-free business, and which has earned us recognition as a world class duty-free operator."
