The UK airports group appoints Duncan Tolson to drive revenues from advertising and sponsorship opportunities

BAA has announced the appointment of Duncan Tolson as director of media@BAA, the advertising and sponsorship division of BAA Retail. Tolson will retain his position as BAA Retail director of commercial telecomms.

media@BAA offers opportunities for brand exposure through several channels, from outdoor sites to the internet, and has been used by brands including Vodafone, Samsung, LG and Mastercard. Its most recent initiative was the design of tailored packages for brands in areas with high traveler exposure in international departure lounges.

BAA Retail managing director UK airports Colin Hargrave said: "There are so many exciting opportunities to come from our advertising and sponsorship, I'm confident that Duncan will lead the team to further develop the highly successful work that John Pizzamiglio and his team have achieved so far in identifying new and exciting opportunities for brand owners and media planners."
