Narita terminal two shopping mall Fifth Avenue is expected to earn revenues of ¥12b ($1m) in its first year, says airport

Narita International airport has opened Japan’s biggest shopping mall. Nartita Fifth Avenue retail mall is located in terminal two and hosts 32 shops covering 4,800sq m (5,1667sq ft) according to a report in Japan Times Online. The mall features boutiques from Cartier, Bvlgari and Hermes among others. It is 1,300sq m (13,993sq ft) bigger than the Narita Nakamise mall, which opened in June last year in terminal one.

Airport operator Narita International Airport Corp said it aims to raise about ¥ 12b ($1m) a year from the new mall, and that it was focused on boosting its commercial revenues, citing gloomy prospects for airline-related operations due to cuts in landing fees.
