Concept art of the Heathrow T5 Tie Rack storeFashion accessories retailer Tie Rack has revealed the details of its new shop at London Heathrow terminal five, due to open early next year. The 40sq m (430sq ft) outlet will be divided into two distinct zones for men’s and women’s accessories and—for the first time at an airport—offer a bespoke Italian tie-making service.

The T5 store will also exhibit ‘future forward’ accessories with a travel theme designed by fashion students from Central St Martins school in London and selected by a panel of experts including BAA head of fashion and fashion accessories Hazel Curry.

Tie Rack marketing director Sara Carter said: “We are excited to be part of a completely new airport travel experience. The new concept store layout promotes dialogue between staff and customers, providing areas that encourage demonstration and interaction. Highly visible visual elements of the store are subject to frequent change, providing an opportunity to present fresh imagery and products to the customer.”
