The UK carrier has introduced an inflight preorder service

ThomsonFly has introduced an inflight duty-free pre-order service. The concept was launched because the airline does not always stock a full range of items on some of its smaller aircraft. Some flights from smaller airports including Coventry, Bournemouth and Doncaster now offer passengers the option to shop online from the full onboard retail range. The packed goods will then be onboard for the passenger to collect.

The service is available a minimum of seven days before the outbound flight. ThomsonFly retail operations manager Mark Evans said: "We introduced pre-order so we could offer all passengers the full range of onboard items. In addition, cabin crew are also offered full commission on a fairer basis."
