The European Travel Partnership Symposium will provide some key insights into the lucrative gay traveller market

Delegates attending the first ever European Travel Partnership Symposium will gain exclusive insights into the lucrative gay travel market, courtesy of gayfriendlyrooms.com and US-based Community Marketing Inc. The event will be held at the Eurostars Grand Marina Hotel in Barcelona on September 12-14.

Targeting the Gay Traveller forms part of a special consumer insight session to kick off day two, gayfriendlyrooms.com managing director David Salvedge and Community Marketing Inc president Thomas Roth have both confirmed their attendance to join a powerful line-up over three days.

Meanwhile, The Nuance Group executive vice-president strategy and business development Ivo Favotto is the latest retail decision-maker to join the lively line-up on the European Power Panel. Favotto will go head to head in a much-anticipated panel debate with Dufry Group and Alpha Airports Group CEOs Julian Diaz and Peter Williams, respectively. These travel-retail heavyweights are primed to tackle tough questions on the most pressing issues that may affect future growth.

The European symposium is the second in the Travel Partnership series of events, which offer a speaker line-up not replicated in any other travel-retail forum. Global heads of travel-retail business will be joined on stage by decision-makers from travel service providers and tourism marketers, including airlines, online booking companies, hoteliers, tourist offices and associations and tour operators. In addressing the theme, Profit in Partnership: Building Consumer Confidence, all speakers will share their experience and views on how working with other travel service providers can build consumer confidence and brand equity in an increasingly insecure industry.

Other confirmed speakers include: Jean-Paul Bonnel, CEO Europe, The Nuance Group; Freek Vermeulan, New Business Development Manager, Amsterdam Schiphol International Airport; Etienne Pauchant, Director-General, Mediterranean Travel Association; Daniel Levecky, CEO, Pure Commerce; Ian Cesa, President & CEO, Horizon Research Corporation; Thomas Sevcik, CEO, Artesia; Dr Grace Pan, Head, Leisure and Travel Research/Senior Manager Client Service, AC Nielsen China; Nancy Cockerell, Director, Travel Business Partnership and Richard Timmis, Director, Category Insights.
