US retailer The Paradies Shops has been awarded a contract to operate several stores at New York JFK airport’s new terminal five, which will house JetBlue Airways flights. The company said in a statement that it will bring a mix of national brands and local names to the terminal, due to open on October 1.

Among the stores Paradies will operate in T5 are a Lacoste fashion and accessories outlet, a CNBC News New York news and convenience shop, a Brighton Collectibles ladies’ accessories concept, a BlueSky Traders convenience store and a Sports Radio 66 WFAN sports outlet.

The Paradies Shops president and CEO Gregg Paradies said: “The Paradies Shops is proud to work with JetBlue in bringing these national and local concepts to the travelling public at JFK's new T5. Innovation and culture are two core values we share with JetBlue, and we welcome the opportunity to assist them in bringing humanity and service back to air travel."
