The Global Travel Retail Awards: your vote counts
If you are a retailer, airport authority, supplier, agent or distributor, you are eligible to vote in the inaugural Global Travel Retail Awards for Travel-Retail Excellence, organised by Raven Fox
The awards aim to recognise outstanding achievement in the trade during 2004. The winners will be announced during the 2005 Raven Fox Charity Ball, which will be held on Thursday February 3, 2005 at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel.
The Ball and Awards are part of a three-in-one event that also includes the Global Travel Retail Summit, to be held at the same venue on February 3-4.
Award winners will be decided by industry votes: suppliers, agents, airports and retailers will decide which companies have distinguished themselves with their innovation, investment and commitment to best practice during the past 12 months.
Suppliers and agents vote for retailers and airports. Retailers vote for suppliers and airports through the retailer voting form.
To find the winners, points will be given on a weighted basis (first place scoring most) for each award. The winner of each category will be the company with the most points. The final results will be independently audited.
The categories are as follows:
- Airport with Most Supportive Approach to Travel-Retail
- Retailer of the Year
- Supplier of the Year
- Inflight Travel Retailer of the Year
- Airport Travel Retailer of the Year
- Cruise/Ferry Travel Retailer of the Year
- Best New Shop Opening (since January 2004)
- Best New Product Launch (since January 2004)
- Travel-Retail Super Brand of the Year (as voted by the RFH Internet Consumer Panel*)
*Note: The RFH Internet Consumer Panel gathers consumers worldwide to discuss and vote regularly on issues affecting travel-retail. It has over 4,000 members.
