Tallinn announces post-accession retail plans

The airport is to abolish duty-free retail entirely when Estonia joins the EU next month and will introduce arrivals shopping at its SAS Trading Euroshop outlet

Tallinn Airport has revealed it will abolish duty-free retail when Estonia joins the European Union on May 1, quoting limited numbers of non-EU passengers. Chairman Rein Loyk told RIA Oreanda that the airport will close a store operated by Gebr Heinemann after accession and will open the remaining retail outlet, SAS Trading's Euroshop, to arriving passengers for the first time.
