Tallink prepares for new launch

?Estonian ferry company Tallink is preparing the launch of its latest superferry, which will serve the operator's Tallinn-Helsinki route. The vessel will cater for 2,500 passengers and 1,000 vehicles, with almost 900sq m (9,684sq ft) devoted to retail.

Of the retail space, 580sq m (6,240sq ft) will be dedicated to sales of liquor, tobacco, confectionery and foodstuffs. The remaining area will form a boutique for sales of fragrances, cosmetics, jewellery, accessories, toys and clothing. Other onboard facilities will include bars, a la carte and fast-food restaurants, casino and health complex featuring saunas and swimming pools. The new ferry will come into service in May 2002.
