15-Feb-2003

Osaka Kansai International airport operator Taihoh Global is to merge with its sister company Kansai International Airport Industry Co (KAI), effective from March 1

Both companies are part of the KAB group.

KAI operates restaurants and gift shops at Osaka Itami, Kansai and Tokyo Narita airports and is the main constituent of the group. Taihoh Global will be dissolved upon the merger, but its staff and structure will remain largely unchanged. Setsuo Amami will continue to run the company's duty-free business.
