TRT announces plans for ISPY 2008

Travel Retail Training (TRT) has revealed details of its plans for ISPY 2008

Inflight Sales Person of the Year (ISPY) awards organiser Travel Retail Training (TRT) has announced details of the 2008 event.

This year’s ISPY event will be held from January 28 to February 1 at the Park Inn Hotel near London Heathrow airport, where TRT will utilise the new conference facilities at the venue.

TRT has made considerable changes to all aspects of ISPY and crew training will not focus on the five key selling skills, but will reflect new advances in personal development and crew motivation.

Airlines will be able to send three crew members to the 2008 event and the award categories will have a complete makeover. The separate awards for low-cost, charter and scheduled will be replaced with new awards for UK and Ireland and the rest of the world. There will also be an overall winner award and the individual skill awards will also reflect the distinction between UK and Ireland and the rest of the world.

The also two new awards – ISPY Supplier of the Year and ISPY Inflight Retailer of the Year, which will be presented at a special dinner during the event.

There will be specific workshops for low-cost, charter and scheduled airlines with the main workshop concentrating on specific retailing issues. The increasingly popular product fair will be enhanced with separate viewings for crew and buyers over two half days.
