TRI names Fenton as new editor

17-Aug-2004

The experienced travel-retail journalist is a natural choice to succeed John Rimmer

Anna Fenton, who is currently DFNI Asia/Pacific correspondent and was previously DFNI's retail news editor, is to become the new editor of Travel Retailer International (TRI) from next month. She will take over from current TRI editor John Rimmer for the Cannes issue of the title.

As reported last month, Rimmer takes on the editorship of DFNI from October 1 when current editor Dermot Davitt relocates to Ireland. Davitt will remain in the business as executive editor on DFNI.

Raven Fox managing director Paul Kelly said: ?Anna will bring a wealth of experience to TRI. She has a keen understanding of the issues retailers and suppliers face and we are sure she will put that expertise to good use on TRI. She is the ideal person to take the magazine into its next stage of its development.?

Kelly added: ?We're very grateful to John for his hard work on TRI and are confident he will enjoy great success as editor of DFNI, the trade's leading publication."
