Floor space and number of exhibiting companies have both increased from last year
Tax Free World Association (TFWA) has revealed increased floor space and exhibitor numbers ahead of TFWA Asia Pacific at the Singapore Suntec Centre on May 12-15.
The 6,200sq m (64sq ft) exhibition floor will be 20% bigger than last year with 214 companies set to exhibit—a 7% increase on 2007. Newcomers include Sony, toy companies Nici and Troika, Cadbury, Fauchon, Hershey’s and Nestle. Senior executives from airports including Cochin International, Incheon International and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi have already confirmed their registration. Other airports are expected to follow along with ferry, cruise and border store executives, retail operators and duty-free and travel-retail agents.
The event will include the TFWA’s first One2One networking forum which will bring together airports, airport commercial partners and exhibiting brands in pre-organised private business meetings. Market knowledge and customer relationships will be among the themes of the plenary session and subsequent workshops. Other influences including airport design, low-cost carriers and cross-culture branding will also be discussed.
