Tax Free World Association (TFWA) president Erik Juul-Mortensen has lent TFWA's support for a proposed alliance of travel-retail associations
The alliance, which has been under discussion at industry events over the past year, could be used to defend the global business from regulatory threats such as the proposed World Health Organization abolition of duty-free tobacco sales.
Juul-Mortensen said: "We already have close links to MEDFA and the ITRC, and we believe in being proactive for the sake of the global industry."
