TFWA announces hospitality area The Club
Tax Free World Association plans a new social area, called The Club, to replace the cancelled Rémy-Cointreau Club at Cannes this month. "We were, of course, very saddened to hear of Rémy-Cointreau's decision to cancel their hospitality club, but quite understand and respect their reasons for doing so," said TFWA president Erik Juul-Mortensen.
"Nevertheless, we recognise that the social side of TFWA World
Exhibition is very important to both exhibitors and visitors and we
do appreciate the importance that networking during the evening
plays, especially during this particular event."
The bar, to be sited on the Croisette opposite the Noga Hilton
hotel, will be open from 22 October to Thursday 25 October, 8pm to
2am. TFWA proposes to allow free access to buyer delegates, but to
charge other delegates. Tickets will be Euro30 a day or Euro100 for
a ticket for the week. TFWA said buyer delegate cards will only
admit the holder and official exhibition badges must be shown for
security purposes.
The Club is being supported by a number of association members including Allied Domecq, Bacardi, Brown Forman, Heineken, Remy-Cointreau, GuinnessUDV, World Brands Duty Free and V&S Vin & Sprit.
Cards may be purchased from October 20 at TFWA's registration area in the Palais des Festivals, and later in the week also in the Express Concierge Service desk.
