TFWA announces changes to management committee
Sylvie Lavagno has been reappointed as vice-president marketing following her move to Parfums Christian Dior
Tax Free World Association (TFWA) has announced that Parfums Christian Dior international director travel-retail Sylvie Lavagno has been reappointed as vice-president marketing on the TFWA board after a short absence following her resignation from YSL Beauté and her subsequent appointment as Dior’s representative on the TFWA management committee.
YSL Beauté’s seat on the committee, previously occupied by Lavagno, has been handed to new global travel-retail director Christophe Marque. Former Bacardi Global Travel Retail managing director Maurice Doyle has also left the committee, and will be replaced by Andrew Carter from August 1. Finally, Rémy Cointreau Global Travel Retail (GTR) managing director Peter Sant, who has served on the TFWA management committee for the past 10 years, will be replaced by Rémy Cointreau GTR European director Matthew Hodges following his move to Singapore.
TFWA president Erik Juul-Mortensen told DFNIonline: “On behalf of the TFWA board and management committee I wish to pay tribute to André, Maurice and Peter, whose commitment to the Association has contributed significantly to its development. We are pleased to welcome their respective successors and we thank them in anticipation of the contribution they will make. I am particularly pleased to welcome Sylvie back to the board from her new role at Parfums Christian Dior.”
