Swissair divests IT and Flight Support divisions

Financially collapsed SAir Group said on Friday it had finalised an agreement with EDS for the US-based group to takeover information technology services to former clients of Atraxis, Swissair's IT unit, for an undisclosed sum. A preliminary deal had been reached on November 5.

Atraxis provided specialised IT solutions for transport industry clients such as South African Airways, Sabena, Air Liberté, Air2000, Malev, LOT Polish Airlines, other carriers and airport authorities.

In a separate deal, Lufthansa subsidiary Lido has taken over the assets of SAir Group's Flight Support unit for an undisclosed sum.
