Swarovski is to divest its UK company, Alpha Jewels (London), which it acquired in 1998. The decision was confirmed by vice-president  travel-retail Peter Zottl. He said Swarovski is exploring two main alternatives, to close the business or a full or partial sale. No further details are currently available.

Alpha's duty-free/travel-retail presence is mainly limited to UK airports.
