Sunglass Hut has won the three-year optical retail contract at Singapore Changi airport

Sunglass Hut (South East Asia) has beaten Capitol Optical Co to win the three-year contract to run the optical concession at Singapore Changi airport terminal three.

The Luxottica-owned retailer submitted the highest of two bids with an offer of 36.5% of the total monthly gross sales or a minimum monthly guarantee of S$60,000 ($39,215), whichever is higher. Capitol Optical Co offered 25% of sales or rent of S$50,000 ($32,679).

The contract is due to begin in January or February 2008.
